Parents may drop off their child’s school supplies to their classrooms before the meeting or may come to the school during office hours Mon-Thurs 9 to 1.

HOT LUNCH INFO

Our Hot Lunch Program will begin on Tuesday, September 6 for grades PK4 through grade 8.  PK 3 students will bring their own lunch.  Please note that hot lunches are ordered by the month.  Please circle what your child would like to order and include a check made out to First Class Catering.  If possible, please do not send cash unless you hand deliver it to the office and get a cash receipt.  Also, please make sure if you send in cash for anything that it is put in an envelope and marked with your child’s name and what it is for.  No refunds will be given for lunch due to absences.  Refunds will only occur due to a snow day or if a child has to quarantine due to Covid.

Students who do not wish to purchase lunch may bring their own or students may just order chocolate or white milk.  Teachers will notify parents in their class if there are any peanut or other allergies in their classroom.  If that occurs, we ask that you make changes to your child’s lunches so all children will be safe.  We will also offer a peanut free table during the K-8 lunch periods.  Please make sure you notify the teacher and nurse if your child has any allergies that we should be attentive to.

Financial aid has been given out to families in grades K-8 who have qualified.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

We ask each family to please read the 2022-2023 Parent/Student Handbook which is located on our website.  www.icslowell.com.  Some changes have been made to dress code.   If you do not have access to a computer, please let the school office know and we will run off a hard copy for you.  All parents must sign a form stating they have read the handbook and will agree to follow the policies and procedures of the school.

Teachers will notify parents and students of Special classes such as music, gym, computer, Spanish and art classes.  On gym day, students may wear their official gym uniform which consists of blue ICS sweatpants, ICS sweatshirt, ICS tee-shirt and ICS shorts.  Students must wear the uniform requirements.

You will be receiving a volunteer form from ICSPA (Immaculate Conception School Parent Association).  We ask each family to donate their time to at least 1 activity.  Many hands make light work and if we all pitch in we will be able to make our school even better.  Everyone’s time is precious so that is why we ask each family to volunteer to help for at least 1 activity.  If we don’t hear from you, we will be calling you.

Just a reminder that all students in grades K-8 should be working on their reading and IXL math or math packet.  If your child did not receive this packet or if they lost theirs, please send an email to [email protected] or check online (Summer Homework)  on our website.  Requirements are online.  Supply lists are also online as well under (Supplies).  Please watch the pictures as they scroll through and you will see Summer Homework and School Supplies.

As of right now, drop off will be the same as last year.  Parents may drop off their child at 7:30 a.m.  Mrs. Shemchuk and Mrs. Gallotto will be outside to help with traffic.  If a child is dropped off before that time, they must attend the before care program which costs $2 a day.  Students who ride on the bus and arrive early to school will not be charged for before care.

Afternoon pickup will remain the same as last year.  If you wish your child to walk to the Immaculate Conception Church parking lot, please email me at [email protected] or send in a note with your child giving them permission. Otherwise, we will bring the students outside and deliver them to your car.   A-G last name of students and those who notify their child’s teacher they want 1st dismissal will be dismissed at 11:25 on half days and 1:45 on regular school days.    H-Z last name of students will be dismissed at 11:35 on half days and 1:50 on regular school days.
