Letter from the Principal

October 6, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Happy Fall!  The season is in full bloom.   The colors are beginning to show and it’s beautiful.

A big thank you to all those who contributed to the Cherrydale Catalog fundraiser.  We profited over $4000.  The final tally will be announced on Constant Contact this weekend.

A big thank you to all who helped with our Walkathon.  As of Oct 6, we have banked over $11,000.   The final total will be shared also on our Constant Contact this weekend.  Thank you again to all who helped to make this Fundraiser a HUGE success.

REN WEB ALERT SYSTEM—If you did not receive an email or phone call from our alert system, please let me know so we can check you emails and phone numbers that are on the FACTS system.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CHILDRENS LUNCH BOX AND CLOTHING WITH NAMES, OR AT LEAST INITIALS SO WE MAY RETURN ITEMS BACK TO YOUR CHILD.  THERE IS A LOST AND FOUND AREA OUTSIDE IN THE HALLWAY BY THE CAFETERIA.  IF YOUR CHILD LOST ANYTHING, PLEASE CHECK THERE.

REGULAR SCHOOL UNIFORMS SHOULD NOW BE WORN.   It is now cooler out so boys should be wearing long pants and girls should be wearing their jumpers or skorts.   Summer uniforms may be worn from May until-Columbus Day. During the winter months girls may wear the uniform blue pants from J.D. Pride Uniform.

Check writing:  When writing out checks, please put in the memo what it is for…kids club, walkathon, etc.  If your child has a different last name, please also write their name on the memo line.  This will help us to make sure the check goes to the correct account.

EMERGENCY TUITION GRANT—The Catholic School Foundation has opened the first round of Emergency Tuition Grants.  The closing date will be Oct. 31 and you will be notified before Thanksgiving if you qualified.  If you are interested in applying for the Emergency Grant, please call me to set up a time to come in and complete the application.  You will need to know the following:  what is your emergency,  your Gross amount of income from last year, how much decrease per month will you experience and birthdays of your children.

LUNCH ORDERS—Just a reminder that all orders for lunch should be purchased monthly since food orders are placed by the number of students that signed up.

Congratulations to our Peter Lynch Scholars for 2021.  The following students were chosen:  Hope Dinsmore, Elizabeth Isaak, and Abigalee Torres.
